I had the pleasure of working for Campus Life as a videographer and graphic designer during my time at Eastern Michigan University. Campus Life offers student-centered learning, development, and involvement activities that promote and support student engagement outside of the classroom. My role as a videographer was a new position within the department and most of the projects I completed were self driven. This means I was in charge of the pre-production, production, and post-production process.
The seeds for this project were planted as soon as I started working at Campus Life. I set a goal to create a student involvement video showcasing what life was like for students outside of the classroom, however, I knew that I needed a breadth of activities over a long period of time to make it compelling. Life On Campus is the result of this goal. It was my final project at Campus Life and includes footage shot over a 2.5 year period. The video is now shown to large crowds of incoming students during orientation.
