Michigan Institute for Plasma Science and Engineering

Educational Video

Role: Video Editor, Motion Graphics Designer, Colorist, Sound Designer

The Challenge: Cut down hour-long interviews with plasma physicists & engineers packed with technical jargon into 3-minute videos that high school students could not only follow, but actually get excited about.

The Process: Carving out the strongest and simplest narrative threads, I shaped raw interviews using pacing, graphics, and selective sound design. I also collaborated with the interview subjects to maintain scientific accuracy while making sure the content felt approachable and inspiring.

The Results: MIPSE gained tools that helped spark interest in plasma physics among high school students, expanding awareness of the field and reinforcing the University of Michigan’s reputation for making cutting-edge science accessible to the next generation of engineers.
